Rie fu

"Rie fu" acts as a singer-songwriter mainly in Japan. Sings in both Japanese and English, playing the guitar or piano. Her voice is so beautiful. When singing in English, it sounds like Karen Carpenter. The songs she writes are pop, rock, or sometimes folkie, and the lyrics are impressive for me.

Last year she became independent from Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. Managing her company, often in a panic, she said, she creates many songs and puts them out at her own pace. She organized a concert on January 30th at Shibuya WWW. Played mainly tracks in "BIGGER PICTURE" by herself or with a band. There was a large gap between tranquil ambience and noisy rock sound. According to what she said in a concert, in part of the newest album, she expressed "poison" she hasn't shown. Her poison is expressed by pricking words or heavy-rock sound.
