Mario Giacomelli: The Black is Waiting for the White

The exhibition "Mario Giacomelli: The Black is Waiting for the White" is held at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography. Many photos took me to his monochrome world. When starting to view them, I felt that life may be in death. But, finally, felt death may be in life, being surrounded by his photos.

At first, old people walk, eat, kiss, and sleep, so I imagined presence of life in death near them. When viewing more, my image gradually changed. People smiles, dances, walks, and works. They are living and dying by degrees. The brighter light is, the darker shadow is. Shadow is included in light. Death is in life.
